spider webs. there must be insects. geese & ducks flying. mild weather, perhaps a robin song. blue jays. downy woodpecker on black knot fungus (Apiosporina morbosa). pair of northern flickers. white hares.
flights of geese, magpies, red-breasted nuthatches. leporids, rabbits and hares, some droves of absolute white magic jacks, Lepus townsendii. the hares are nocturnal, mostly graze on moonbeams. lepus is a constellation below orion. ursa or canis wolf lupus or coyote not: lupus, ursa, latrans.
geese are flying, 2 large flocks. it's -17C (1F) or -24C (-11F) wind chill. jackrabbits, a bit of grey. a bald eagle fly-by. light sunsnowers.
that was weird. temperatures are up and down and up and ... found a september photo of a hare, also in cement series. note: one side of ear is white, and the black tips stay all year. the rain lasted an hour, then winds, then snow, then a clear cold sunny day.
purple snow @purpledawn and full moonsets—tinsel, glitter, frost. the parlour palm is at it again. snowdrifts, blizzards. chipmunk (or a red squirrel). white, white hares with charcoal ear tips. the deer, mice, bluejays, chickadees, owls, coyotes, ravens, 100huddled geese, northern flicker, crows, skunks, porcupine. lots of tracks and a sundog. comet ison is not to be seen.
