white-tailed jackrabbit
flights of geese, magpies, red-breasted nuthatches. leporids, rabbits and hares, some droves of absolute white magic jacks, Lepus townsendii. the hares are nocturnal, mostly graze on moonbeams. lepus is a constellation below orion. ursa or canis wolf lupus or coyote

purple snow

purple snow @purpledawn and full moonsets—tinsel, glitter, frost.  the parlour palm is at it again.
snowdrifts, blizzards. chipmunk (or a red squirrel). white, white hares with charcoal ear tips. the deer, mice, bluejays,  chickadees, owls, coyotes, ravens, 100huddled geese, northern flicker, crows, skunks, porcupine. lots of tracks and a sundog.

a bit of a snow storm

again. this one is a blanket. there have been granule flurries, light rains, pellets, ice crystals in the air, drizzle and mist (last week), fogs and winds.

with a few clear days. what is blue? a 2013 project: taking a shot of the full moon every month, which adds up to one group of 12 moons, in a year of comets. it's been too overcast.
