sedums were still blooming last week, hardy and beautiful plants, weird architecture, a rooming house for ladybugs, fungus gnats. it's cold as (-20F, snow, a polar vortex).
begonias have been blooming all winter. the plants are robust. it's -35C. starting to unravel the geraniums. thinking about seeds, seeding. it's -36C. dagnabbit. a newt died, 18. or 19 or 20 years old. it's -39C.
snow fell again. 6-7-8 hours or so of daylight, 5x as much snow as usual. overall, piles, overcast monochromia, polar vortex. ice, frost quakes, phat frost, flash freeze... freezes. january 1st was new moon. palm study. geranium cuttings = root tangles.
