mottled hares. spring is springing - robins, gulls, downey woodpeckers, nuthatch, chickadees, bugs, spider web, swarming cedar waxwings, crows, ravens, ladybugs, swans, geese, ducks, seeds, voles, rhubarb, rain ...
the lovage is a metre tall. plenty of seedlings. soapwort will bloom soon. it actually can be used as soap. see also soapwort seeds.
damselflies. butterflies. brewer's blackbirds. northern flickers. red-headed sparrow (house finch), blue sparrow (mountain bluebird), elegant sparrow. robin fledglings. 2 owls.
coyotes. gophers. winter eggshells, seedling starting pots. a branch of pussy willow that unexpectedly rooted. spring crocuses. half of the half-eggshells were lost (to complete fracture) by poking holes in the bottom for drainage, but 48's enough. spring is sproinging. crunching shells when planting later, if there are plants, should work for root development.
