![]() magpie with twig, feb 11 centipede skunks more magpies & crows with twigs robins, gulls red squirrels blue jays, lots of geese, pairs of ducks snow, ice, rain ravens cedar waxwings, woodpeckers hares spiders, flies, ladybugs, butterfly vernal tilt.
that was weird. temperatures are up and down and up and ... found a september photo of a hare, also in cement series. note: one side of ear is white, and the black tips stay all year. the rain lasted an hour, then winds, then snow, then a clear cold sunny day.
what is it about daddy longlegs & woodpiles. harvestman, an animal, not a spider or Opilionids and Pholcids. the toe-biters (giant water bugs) yonder, not exactly pleasant imo, pincers just too huge. a cloud of bees in mint patch. a peony, languishing, now closer to ant hill. the little ants, crazy for yarrow. wasps, we've reached an accord. some romas have ripened, delicious, must grow more next year. other tomatoes have flowers again. parsley and romaine lettuce from seed - whoot!
hot, then rainy, and hot some more. the mushrooms dried up, rotisserie. before. almost daily rain showers, sunny, cool, temperate. quite a fungifest... moorlandish, boggy, steamy. not since a few days in july was it as hot.
